Best Android Web Browsers

The android operating system is one of the world’s mostly used operating system for mobile devices. With the millions of android supported devices, there are quite a number of web browsers that are designed for smartphones or tablets that use the Android operating system. The different browsers usually have a number of different features ranging from the ability to sync your device to your desktop, the speed of the browser or the ability of the browser to support flash navigation. Some of the best Android browsers based on available features, speed and flash capability include Firefox, Chrome, Dolphin Browser, Opera mobile and Boat browser.

Firefox

Firefox for Android borrows a number of features from its desktop browser and this is the main reason why many people prefer to use it. The browsers provides a good browsing experience which is further enhanced with the stylish interface that it adopts together with the efficient tab management system and supports flash media. Just like the desktop browser, Firefox for Android has a number of add-ons that the user can choose from.

Since it supports Firefox Sync, one can import all the bookmarks and passwords from a desktop/laptop that has Firefox Sync enabled. Firefox for Android is also the first mobile browser to have Do Not Track and it has the “Awesome Page” that has all the web pages that you visited recently. Chrome 

Chrome for Android is another popular web browser on most Android operated devices. This browser is similar to its desktop counterpart and it has a number of advantages with the biggest one being that it is optimized for mobile and thus it is extremely fast( takes about 7 seconds to load a site).

Chrome for Android supports Incognito browsing and has Chrome Sync which allows users to sync their bookmarks and passwords on the mobile device with those on their desktops, the browser also has tab syncing and search syncing. Chrome for Android has an attractive user interface that provides users with a chance to view mobile-optimized sites in desktop mode if they want to.

Opera Mobile

Opera has been creating mobile browsers for quite a long time now and their browser for Android is surely not a disappointment. Opera Mobile has Opera Link that allows users to sync their speed dial, bookmarks and other preferences with their Opera desktop browser. Opera mobile is also fast and compresses data in the background (Opera Turbo) and this allows users to browse websites at minimal costs.

Opera also has its own app store that has a number of third party add-ons to improve the user’s experience. Opera Mobile also has a feature that allows the user to hide some parts of the interface and is effective for sites that are not mobile friendly by using the one column mode.

Dolphin Browser HD/Mini

Dolphin Browser has a number of features that anyone can wish for on his/her Android device. The options and tools available on the Dolphin Browser cannot be matched even with some of the big name browsers. It supports a number of tools and plug-ins to extend its features, has Dolphin Sonar which allows speech-to-text, and one can open bookmarks and navigate through web pages by using on-screen gestures.

Dolphin Browser comes is two variants, the HD version that is for devices that can accommodate all its features, and the Mini version for users who prefer speed and performance rather that features and options. Dolphin Browser also supports flash and one can set flash on, off or on-demand.

Boat Browser

Boat browser is considered a good browser since it is easy to use and sticks to the most important features when it comes to browsers. Both the settings pages and the interface are easy to use and navigate around. Boat Browser also has a pop-up menu that is not obstructive at all and can be customized to display important options only.

Boat Browser has a screenshot tool, voice input features, private browsing feature and night mode. Boat Browser supports a number of add-ons and one can even change the skin and theme of the user interface.
