Petr Bobek who is Microsoft’s product manager spoke with the media early today in the Czech Republic and said that native Microsoft Office apps will be released to both iOS and Android during the first quarter of 2013. According to a report from The Verge – which also states that it has seen the press release – Office for both the iOS and Android will be released with a new version of the Windows Phone, Windows RT, Mac OS and even Symbian.

While there have been applications designed by third-party developers that can support the files that are created  by Office on most of the mobile operating systems, there is still no native app that has been designed by Microsoft. No matter what  opinion you have of Office, there is no denying that most people use it especially those in the world of business, and for those who normally do most of their work on their tablet or other portable devices, this might be very good news for them.
