The OPPO A71 2018 is now available in Kenya. This phone is currently available exclusively through Jumia for Ksh 17,990. This is the latest smartphone from OPPO to be launched in Kenya and is the successor to the OPPO A71 from 2017. It is not a complete upgrade to the first A71 but brings with it some new features including the Snapdragon 450 processor, the original OPPO A71 came with a MediaTek processor.
OPPO has been very aggressive in Kenya as it tries to capture the same customers that Tecno, Infinix, Huawei and even Xiaomi are targeting. This is the segment between Ksh 15,000 and Ksh 35,000 and has been ignored for years but is now getting the attention it deserves.
