By now, you probably already know that Tecno is getting ready to launch its next flagship smartphone, the Phantom 6. The phone will be launched tomorrow (September 26, 2016) in Dubai as the company prepares to expand its brand to the Middle East and South America.
Even though Tecno hasn’t confirmed much about this phone below are some of the specs you should expect to see on it when it is launched tomorrow.
Phantom 6 Specifications

As you can clearly see from the specifications above, the Tecno Phantom 6 is quite an upgrade when compared to the Phantom 5. The company has decided to keep the same 5.5 inch display which isn’t too big or too small for most people.
On the Phantom 6, Tecno has used a 2GHz octa core processor compared to the Phantom 5 that had a 1.3GHz MediaTek processor. The RAM has been maintained at 3GB with 32GB of internal storage space that can be expanded up to 128GB. For the OS, the phone comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HiOS on top. Even though nothing has been confirmed as of now, am expecting it to get updated to Android Nougat sometime in the future.
The Phantom 6 has dual camera setup made up of a 13MP unit and a 5MP one. The front facing camera is an 8MP unit with flash, this is the first smartphone from Tecno with a dual camera setup. The Phantom 5 has a 13MP camera at the back with an 8MP front facing one so Tecno hasn’t changed so much in that department.
As for the battery, the Phantom 6 has a 2700 mAh unit that is a bit of a downgrade from the 3000 mAh unit found on the Phantom 5. This is the only thing that disappoints me about the Phantom 6. Tecno is yet to announce the price of the Phantom 6 but says that the phone will be available in Champagne gold.
