Samsung Planning a $14.7B Investment On a Semi Conductor Plant in South Korea

samsung semiconductor plant

Samsung is about to spill some big money and invest a whooping $14.7B on Semi conductors,on what its officials and top management said was a move to curb and trim the growing demand for Semi-Conductors Globally. The plant is excepted to be hosted in South Korea Godeok Industrial Complex in Pyeongtaek. The plant is also predicted to boost the economy of South Korea by giving over 150,000 Jobs Opportunities to locals with expertise, both skilled, semi skilled in Semi conductor technology.

The Operational date of the firm are not known however, reports suggest and predict,it will be functional earliest the second half of 2017,next year but 1.The plan to have its own plant for Semi-conductors is seen as a strategy to eliminate and contain threats from Apple and other major tech gurus, that saw Samsung’s market share price last week to a 2Year Low as profits estimated declined.Despite the various critics and fun Samsung made of Apple’s new I phone 6 and I phone 6 Plus,it quite clear the two Smart phones have diverted all the attention from Samsung Galaxy S5,giving Samsung Sleepless nights and financial losses.Personally i kinda believe the trending #bendgate, was a rumor from Samsung or other rivals of Apple to discourage Apple Lovers and fans from getting a hands on the I phone 6.Apple acted clever and cleared up that issue insisting as earlier reports said only 9 of the  I phone 6 Plus users actually could have the  experienced this problem.

But there’s always 2 sayings two hands are better than one,and if you cant beat them join them.It looks like the deal between Samsung and Apple last week to provide the next generation chips based on 14n technology is set to improve Samsung’s profits in the next financial quarter, with other major projects like the $1B display factory in Vietnam expected to boost profits even much further.
